Clement Ifrim

Clement Ifrim

Co-Founder and CEO

Clement, co-founder of Quantarium, LLC, has been driving the business planning and strategic relationship management for Quantarium and had a direct impact in designing and building the Quantarium products.

He has been actively involved in software development since 1993 and held engineering and management positions at Microsoft for 14 years, building large scale, enterprise software products in areas as information retrieval and content management, including Microsoft Enterprise Search and SharePoint. He was also responsible for defining and implementing the strategy to validate and ensure high performance and reliability across multiple Office Server products.

Prior to Microsoft, Clement led the software development team for RomUS, a company based in Austin, Texas and worked as a software engineer at an Austrian company in Romania, Telequote Network. He also worked as a researcher at the Institute of Computer Science in Iasi, Romania. Clement holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Technical University ”Gheorghe Asachi”, Iasi, Romania.

Malcolm Cannon

Malcolm works with the Quantarium executive team establishing strategic direction, execution priorities, organizational development and financial planning. Prior to joining Quantarium, Malcolm had over 30 years’ experience founding and operating businesses internationally.

With over 20 years within the broader Real Estate space, prior to joining Quantarium, Malcolm was CEO of a leading Vertical Market ERP provider, Constellation – ERP Management Inc., where he designed and pioneered an industry leading and award winning data analytics product. With a proven record for strong ROIC and astute capital allocation on product launches and acquisitions, he brings a broad range of executive, operations and product experience, along with an extensive acquisition and joint venture expertise to Quantarium.

Additionally, Malcolm serves as Global Visionaries Chairman of the Board, a Seattle based international 501c3 that pursues diversity in youth leadership as it challenges and transforms young people to become 21st century socially and environmentally conscious global leaders.

John Smintina

John Smintina

Co-Founder and President

John is co-founder of Quantarium and was heavily involved in designing and developing the Quantarium Valuation Model (QVM) algorithms. He has been working in the data and analytics field since 1990. Prior to co-founding Quantarium, John worked at Macys in the area of data modeling and decision support systems for 11 years.

He held various technical and managerial roles, including manager of the Applications Development and Data Warehousing department for more than 5 years. Before Macys, John worked as a scientific researcher at the National Forest Research Institute in Romania. In this role he developed advanced predictive analysis models in the field of quantitative genetics and presented several research papers at international conferences in Tampere (Finland), Berlin (Germany) and Montpelier (France).

John has a Master of Science from the University of Brasov (Romania) and a PhD in Quantitative Genetics from the Romanian Academy of Science.

Mihai Petriuc

Mihai Petriuc

Chief Software Architect

Mihai has been instrumental in architecting the Quantarium valuation and ranking technologies and serves as the chief software architect across all platforms and products. Having and outstanding background in computer science, he performed active research in the fields of Evolutionary Programming, Parallel Computing and Automated Classification which resulted in papers published at International conferences and participated in inter-universitary research groups in Loughborough, England and Edinburgh, Scotland.

After six years or university academic career, Mihai worked on Enterprise Search technologies at Microsoft. Specialized in high performance and large scale server software, Mihai acted as software architect leading the development team in charge of building the Full-text Search Engine used by multiple Microsoft products including SharePoint 2007/10. Mihai is the author of 5 awarded and 3 pending patents in the field of Search Engines and Ranking Technologies.
